2006.Nov - The first of five new power stations have been completed in Broome by EC&M.
The new power plant installation for Broome has been completed to commissioning in readiness to supply base power to the
Northwest Tourist Centre.
This power plant, built right next to the old one will power Broome and surrounding areas for the forseeable future and
represents the completion of the first of five power plants in the northwest. EC&M are currently working on
accompanying power plants in Derby, Halls Creek and Fitzroy Crossing, and a diesel plant in Looma.

2006.Aug - EC&M receives NECA award of excellence.
Friday August the 13th of August 2006 was a successful evening for EC&M after being
awarded the NECA (National Electrical and Communications Association) award of
excellence for WA’s best industrial project for the design and construct of CBH
Albany Grain and Port Facitilities 60,000T upgrade. After more than 2 years, 780
design drawings, 12,500 metres of cable supports systems, 220,000 metres of cabling
and over 90,000 man hours the project and its successful outcomes are a credit to all

2006.May - Safety and Environmental Targets Met for 05/06
EC&M’s commitment to Health, Safety, the Environment and Community (HSEC) has continued and improved for the year 05/06 with no lost time injuries or environmental incidents for the period. With over 200,000 man hours worked and 11 projects successfully completed, this is a great achievement for the dedicated EC&M team.
05/06 has also seen a major upgrade and improvement of the EC&M HSEC system for all projects and operations; this was a significant goal and a major undertaking. Thanks to Thomas Jones for his input and experience throughout this period.

Diesel and PE Rawlinson and Associates have awarded EC&M the Electrical and Instrumentation
assembly contract for the relocation of the old Missima Power Station, in the mountains of Papua

2005.May - Safety and Environmental Targets Met for 04/05
EC&M have met the targets set by management and employees for the year 2004 / 2005 in the following areas:
- 0 Lost Time Injuries

- 0 Environmental Incidents

- Improvement of documented HSE management systems and performance criteria

- Training and increased awarness to HSE performance and management
 systems for all employees
These results are due to the collective involvement,input and continued committment of both management and all employees. Well done to all involved!!!
